Camellia sinensis (aka tea) One plant makes all the varieties of what we know as tea. Black, green, white, the whole spectrum of oolong and pu’erh teas are all made from the same plant leaves.
The variations of tea are all influenced by several factors. Each region where camellia sinensis where grows imparts different flavors and characteristics. For example, Assam tea can only be grown in the Assam region of India. Every attempt to grow it elsewhere loses the distinctive characteristics of the traditional Assam tea. Also, the method and length of drying time for the leaves changes the flavor, texture and in some cases medicinal uses of the end product.
VARIETIES OF TEA
White tea is typically air-dried with little fermenting. This leaves a fresh, clean tasting tea which can be a wonderful basis add other flavors.
Green teas are also dried with limited oxidation

The first time I drank tea made by Teaguys I was amazed at the bold combinations they offered. Cracked coffee beans with black tea and spices, maple syrup and tea, whole chunks of dehydrated fruits and flower petals. The appearance of their teas pull you in. You just have to know how it tastes. And they certainly deliver on the taste.
Chocolate Chai with whole pieces of chocolate melted into the tea was my is my favorite flavor so far. You could taste the richness even before adding anything. There were actual pieces of chocolate throughout the tea blend. A touch of honey and milk and it is the perfect end to a day.
Then you get into the wonderful world of their black and green teas. Their Morning Americano has a smooth blend of bold black teas. The green tea I liked best was the Green

I am what I would affectionately call a “tea snob”. Much as there are those who won’t eat meat or have a passion for wine I like good tea. As you can see from this jammed cupboard in my kitchen, I collect teas just about every time I enter a store. Tea from a tea bag rarely sees the inside of my tea cup with a few exceptions. The reason being, most tea bags are filled with the dregs and leftovers of the tea industry processing and packaging their whole leaf teas for people such as myself. “The dust left on the floor” as a good friend so aptly put it.
The large tea leaves unfurling in my tea pot releasing their goodness into the water is a complete thrill. Fine teas are hand processed to preserve the sensuous qualities a good tea imparts. For many years I
