The second week of the challenge is over. I was able to bring my numbers up for the challenge from the first week but the lack of intense fitness training really hurt my overall numbers. The finally week I am going all out and will hit the gym or workout at home 6 days alternating the strength training and the cardio and core training.
I am feeling stronger and leaner. I will take the final measurements at the end of next week but already feel a difference in my body. Even if I didn’t lose one pound, the energy and the way I feel in my body has committed me to making lasting changes.
I have cleaned up my food and eliminated the carbohydrate cravings I was having before the challenge began. I feel great and look forward to finishing this challenge with a strong push.
Wish me luck!
Here are my stats:
Goal for today: Go to the gym and do two sets of strength training and 10 minutes of cardio at high intensity intervals.
Successes from yesterday:
- I got moving and sweated even though I didn’t want to at all.
- Had a nice balance of protein and vegetables throughout the day.
- Enjoyed time with my kids despite several technical difficulties
Total Points from yesterday: 86
Things to improve from yesterday:
- Get back to the gym and use the heavier weights
- Commit to and complete all workouts for the last week of the challenge. This is it!
Here is my menu from yesterday:
Breakfast 2 Scrambled eggs with broccoli and feta cheese
Snack Egg & Cheese Croissant
Lunch Peas with wholegrain pasta, fresh tomato sauce and feta cheese
Snack Cheese stick
Dinner Almond butter on wholegrain toast and sweet potato french fries
Snack Sauteed microgreens

It really does gets easier as it takes longer. I remember the how felt sorry for myself the time I was undergoing a diet program. I was lucky to have a friend to motivate me since I was suffering so much that I can’t count how many times I wanted to quit. Anyway, exercise and eating healthy is part of my lifestyle now and I feel stronger and more confident about myself.
