21-Day Mommy Blogger Challenge

The sec­ond week of the chal­lenge is over.   I was able to bring my num­bers up for the chal­lenge from the first week but the lack of intense fit­ness train­ing really hurt my over­all num­bers.  The finally week I am going all out and will hit the gym or work­out at home 6 days alter­nat­ing the strength train­ing and the car­dio and core training.

I am feel­ing stronger and leaner.  I will take the final mea­sure­ments at the end of next week but already feel a dif­fer­ence in my body.  Even if I didn’t lose one pound, the energy and the way I feel in my body has com­mit­ted me to mak­ing last­ing changes.

I have cleaned up my food and elim­i­nated the car­bo­hy­drate crav­ings I was hav­ing before the chal­lenge began.  I feel great and look for­ward to fin­ish­ing this chal­lenge with a strong push.

Here are my stats:

Goal for today: Go to the gym and do two sets of strength train­ing and 10 min­utes of car­dio at high inten­sity intervals.

Suc­cesses from yesterday:

  • I got mov­ing and sweated even though I didn’t want to at all.
  • Had a nice bal­ance of pro­tein and veg­eta­bles through­out the day.
  • Enjoyed time with my kids despite sev­eral tech­ni­cal difficulties

Total Points from yes­ter­day: 86

Things to improve from yesterday:

  • Get back to the gym and use the heav­ier weights
  • Com­mit to and com­plete all work­outs for the last week of the chal­lenge.  This is it!

Break­fast 2 Scram­bled eggs with broc­coli and feta cheese

Snack Egg & Cheese Croissant

Lunch  Peas with whole­grain pasta, fresh tomato sauce and feta cheese

Snack Cheese stick

Din­ner Almond but­ter on whole­grain toast and sweet potato french fries

Snack Sauteed microgreens
