
I have doing the 21-Day Weight Loss Challenge for bloggers. I am doing it for fitness as much for weight loss. I won’t be tracking weight but measurements throughout the challenge. This event is a complete program designed by Dustin Maher, author of Fit Moms for Life. Even though I have a strong background in health and wellness, I have plateaued over the last few months and really wanted to push myself to meet my goals for the New Year.
I am taking measurements, and prepared all the records so I can keep track of my progress. Dustin’s workout plans are intense and really get the heart pumping even when just doing the strength training. I am going to approach it a little differently this time in an effort to target different muscle groups each day to maximize my points. All the bloggers participating are earning points for different targets each day. Such as eating vegetables, getting enough protein and doing the workouts everyday.
The big change in my food has been eliminating white flour, white sugar, white rice, and potatoes. Basically all the processed foods are out. Each day I will post the progress from the previous day with my menus from the day.
The best part of all of this is my love affair with water has been rekindled. Before this challenge I would remember, usually too late, to start getting my daily water. It was becoming a bit of a struggle. Prior to the black hole of sleep deprivation that comes from raising twins, I was drinking upwards of 100 ounces of water a day. I am back to that level or higher now. It feels wonderful. My secret trick: I drink at least 2 cups of water before I even leave the bedroom. This jump starts my thirst and keeps me wanting water all day long.

Calf 15″
