I forget how to cook

Cook­ing has been a strug­gle for me since my chil­dren were born.  I have been cook­ing as long as I can remem­ber.  My mother tells me I began cook­ing at 3.  I was mak­ing din­ners for the fam­ily by the time I was 8 years old.  I took over the job when my mom returned to school then work after my father passed away sud­denly in my tweens.  My for­mal edu­ca­tion cul­mi­nated in a MA in Nutri­tion because I love food so much.  I have owned and oper­ated two busi­nesses cen­tered around cook­ing and food, spe­cial­iz­ing in veg­e­tar­ian cook­ing.  I have cooked per­son­ally and pro­fes­sion­ally for more than 37 years.

I never imag­ined being a mom would wipe out decades of food knowl­edge and pas­sion.  I used to be able to look at a raw veg­eta­bles and quickly come up with a deli­cious recipe.  These days I try to think of
