Miso is one of my favorite foods.  As we come in to the cooler weather of autumn I find myself enjoy­ing miso soup for break­fast in the morn­ing.  It has this way of warm­ing me from the inside.  I drink tea every morn­ing but it doesn’t go down like the rich­ness of a cup of miso soup.  Being a fer­mented food, miso has live cul­tures to help sup­port the diges­tive flora. Def­i­nitely one of the unsung super­foods available.

At Expo East 2011 I found a tra­di­tional old favorite of mine mar­ket­ing in a cor­ner.  Miso Mas­ter Organic miso was the first miso I came across many years ago.  It sat in my fridge so long I tossed it in a move.  Of course it was not to long after it was land­fill before I learned miso keeps in the fridge indef­i­nitely.
