21-Day Mommy Blogger Fitness Challenge

I com­pleted the chal­lenge.  Wow!  What a jour­ney the last three weeks has been.  I have really kicked my pasta/bread habit in a big way. If I eat either once a day that is a big deal for me.  It has been by com­fort food for sev­eral years now and I am happy to be done with it.

What I really loved from this chal­lenge has been the work­outs.  They are really intense and pushed me to my lim­its many times over the last few weeks.  I am happy to say that I know my body has changed a lot in the past few weeks.  I feel stronger, look slim­mer and have far more energy.  I can’t remem­ber the last time I drank a cup of coffee.

Mommy Blogger Fitness Challenge ~ Feb 8 #21MBC

Since my kids have been going to school I go to a cafe every week­day morn­ing to get my blog­ging work done.  It’s right across the street from their school, park­ing is free and I don’t have to waste 30 min­utes dri­ving back and forth to my house.  The owner cooks all the food and makes the BEST egg and cheese crois­sant sand­wiches.  Before this chal­lenge I was eat­ing them every time I was there.  Every­one knew my order. I fre­quently would get to the counter and he would hand me my sand­wich before I even got to the reg­is­ter to pay for it…most peo­ple wait for their food. Until yes­ter­day I was able to avoid get­ting a sand­wich because I was being stealth. I didn’t want to lose a point for white flour.

The Power of Fermented Foods

I believe when our bod­ies are in bal­ance they heal nat­u­rally. We often hear about ways to strengthen our immune sys­tem and the ben­e­fits of eat­ing super­foods. I find mag­a­zines reg­u­larly leave out some of the most ben­e­fi­cial super­foods we have. One such super­food is the cat­e­gory of fer­mented foods.
