Things I’m grateful for…

…the flexibility in my work and home to be able to design our days and life around what we want to do not another’s schedule.

…not needing to use an alarm clock to wake up…I have kids for that.

…growing children who are happy, healthy and thriving.

…living in a place resplendent in nature, an accepting culture and interesting people.

…living within driving distance of destination places for all the things I love to do…biking, knitting, theater, and local, whole foods.

I would love to hear what you are grateful for today.

Thanksgiving Thursday

Today I am grateful…

* My children are growing and learning so fast I can hardly keep up. They are at an age where they are making connections between previously unrelated ideas. Their humor is really coming through and they are more and more social.

* Spring is here. Although it is still considered mud season in our part of the world, the perennials are starting to make an appearance and it is only a matter of time before we put the garden in. Bring on the rain, I can take it.

* I am learning so much about setting up an effective blog and implementing many new ideas. There will be a whole new look in the very near future.

* There are so many new ideas rolling around in my head I hardly know where to start. After several years of being home alone with infants then toddlers, I

Thanksgiving Thursday

What a glorious morning. This week I have been deliberate and intentional in my work and family life. It has created a sense of purpose and accomplishment to my days.

Today I am grateful for:

1. Having the opportunity to follow my dream of being home raising my children and watching every moment of their growth and development.

2. Being healthy and strong enough to keep up with my children. Chasing around twins takes serious endurance.

3. Learning everyday how to be true to myself and create the life I want.

4. Being open to spiritual growth and change that creates love and happiness in everyday.

5. Learning to love myself unconditionally and recognizing that every thing I have experienced has made me the person I am today.

6. Love!

What are you grateful for today?

Thanksgiving Thursday

I’m not really sure where the weeks are going right now. I can hardly believe it is Thursday again and last week was a total blur. I am always fascinated by time. It is such a concrete part of our culture yet time feels subjective much of the time. Someone once told me in regards to life with kids, the days are endless and the years are fleeting. As I go through each day and watch my ever changing children, I realize the true meaning of that advice.

Considering the flightiness of time, today I am grateful for…

…dishes in the sink because it means we were too busy having fun to clean.

…hearing the ABC song 20 times in a row because it means my children are learning.

…a child sleeping in my bed because someday they will want their own bed to sleep in.

…being exhausted at the end of the

It seems fitting to end this day counting my blessings. It was a spectacular day like you can’t plan, it just all flows together spontaneously. I spent time playing with my kids, had an amazing yoga workout, dinner with a dear friend, and I listened to my babies snore softly in my ear as they fell asleep. Now I get to end my day considering what I have to be grateful for. What a life!

Today I am grateful for…

1. …flexibility. Being flexible enough to be faithful to myself and making space for others to find their passion and fulfill their dreams. Everyday I strive to bring flexibility to my children so they can have what they need to grow into confident adults.

2. …breath. In each moment focusing on the breath gives me another chance to choose who I am. Focused in the moment and able to be authentic

My daughter is the flower.

Gratitude is the endless opportunity to appreciate what works in your life and allows more wonderful things to emerge in your reality. Today I am grateful…

1. …my children are healthy and well. They are growing and developing perfectly in their own time.

2. …I am working from home so I am able to watch my children grow into the beautiful beings they are becoming. I don’t have to miss a moment of their lives.

3. …for the opportunities I find everyday to improve who I am in the world. Thirteen years ago I began focusing on making my life fit my dreams. Every bump and challenge has led me to creating the wonderful life I have today.

4. …that I have clean water and healthy food to sustain my growth and development. My health supports me in helping my children to grow into confident, strong adults.

Thanksgiving Thursday

Disclaimer: Thanksgiving Thursday is a feature on Mama’s Little Chick. I hope she doesn’t mind me borrowing this idea. It fits what I need to be focusing on right now, which is improving my gratitude level.

That said, I am excited to add this feature to my blog. So here are the things I am grateful for in my life today.

1. The love in my life. I am fortunate to have lots of people in my life who love me and would do anything to support me…even when I am not being my highest self.

2. My beautiful children who remind me everyday to laugh, slow down and enjoy the little things. Their joy for everything makes it easy to find reasons to smile.

3. My home. We have a big home to accommodate many guests, room for the children to move around and change their scenery when the New England weather keeps
